What People Say
Karly W.
Parent
My son Louie has Angelman Syndrome and is nonverbal, but desperately craves to communicate with peers and loved ones. We were so fortunate to have Melissa as his speech therapist during his early elementary years. She took the time to understand Louie’s personality, ensuring that his communication device and tools supported his independence while also reflecting who he is. Because of this personalized approach, Louie was highly engaged and motivated in therapy. She also provided our family with practical, meaningful strategies to support Louie’s language at home—an invaluable gift during an overwhelming time. Melissa’s clinical expertise, combined with her genuine ability to connect with children and families, makes her exceptionally effective in this work.
